UP Free Boring Yojana
Uttar Pradesh subsidises the cost of boring a private tube well and installing a pump set, so small and marginal farmers can set up their own irrigation source instead of depending on erratic canal or rented-pump water.

The Free Boring Yojana helps small and marginal farmers in Uttar Pradesh install their own irrigation tube well by subsidising the boring cost and, for SC/ST and smallholder categories, part of the pump set cost as well. This reduces farmers' dependence on canal irrigation schedules or rented diesel pump sets, giving them more control over irrigation timing for their crops.

Apply online through the UP Department of Agriculture's official portal (upagriculture.com), selecting the Free Boring Yojana under minor irrigation schemes, and upload your land and identity documents. Applications are verified by the local minor irrigation/agriculture office before the boring work is sanctioned.
