The Bihar Government announced the Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the 2026 state budget to provide additional financial support to eligible farmers. Under this scheme, around 73 lakh eligible PM-KISAN beneficiaries will receive an extra ₹3,000 annually from the state government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The initiative is designed to strengthen farmers' financial security, support agricultural activities, and improve rural livelihoods
